Lica's Product & Motion
Wearing multiple hats to design an AI creative platform for static and video ads.
During my time at Lica, I was the Founding Designer, where I wore multiple hats and handled every aspect of design and creative work, including UX and product flows, motion design videos, websites, marketing assets, post-production work, and video editing for events as the only designer on the team.
This experience helped me grow from both the product and business sides, especially during the startup’s seed stage, and taught me what it takes to raise a Series A. Throughout that process, we made several shifts in our product as we worked to define product-market fit, target different customer groups, and find our niche.
I was also grateful to experience the startup scene in San Francisco, where I learned not only from my own team but also from other dedicated founders, designers, and builders who were pushing every day to achieve their goals.
Through my work and the team’s dedication, we grew from an initial $4 million seed round led by Accel to securing investments from Sequoia, Lightspeed, Innovation Endeavors, and Stanford, along with over twenty pilots and six paid converted B2B customers. The ultimate goal is to build a foundational graphic design model accessible to everyone, empowering individuals to create ads themselves while we continue to serve the B2B market.

Product/UX Design Selected Work
WORK SNIPPETS
Within my first one and a half weeks at Lica, I designed and helped ship the full core UX flow while creating a new AI design paradigm for editing. I also completed a design guide and a custom component system for developer implementation within two weeks.
From there, I continued to iterate on user flows and product experiences as we refined our direction, ensuring fast and seamless collaboration with engineers. I learned to build and ship designs quickly without compromising quality, focusing on intuitive interactions that made AI-assisted ad creation feel effortless.
This process sharpened my ability to identify familiar design patterns across creative tools and AI experiences, helping me design new yet approachable solutions to complex problems in the AI creative space for static and video ads.
NYC Times Square Billboard and Motion Design Select Work
WORK SNIPPETS
From a creative standpoint, this role pushed me out of my comfort zone and into motion design. One of my most notable projects was designing a Times Square billboard collaboration with Central Perk (the coffee shop from Friends, now open) and Warner Bros that reached over 2.5 million views on Instagram.
Beyond that, I produced more than forty motion video variations, three websites, ten pitch decks, and over fifty marketing assets. These projects allowed me to combine storytelling and design craft, bringing the brand to life across multiple mediums and platforms.

Select Explorations
WORK SNIPPETS
As part of my workflow, I explored ways to streamline design and development handoffs through new tools and methods. I experimented with vibe coding using Figma Make and Cursor to speed up implementation, and I explored AI tools for image and video generation such as Kling 2.1, Higgsfield AI, Veo3, and GPT 5.
These explorations expanded how I think about the future of creative tooling, helping me design faster, smarter, and more intuitively while staying on the frontier of where AI and design intersect.
