AR Development and Digital Storytelling Extern @ Snap Inc.

Mar 2024 - Apr 2024

  • Selected among 100 students for the externship program with Snapchat and Extern to gain knowledge on how to build a successful lens utilizing Snap’s Lens Studio.

  • Developed an AR lens focused on the theme "Sports that Bring Us Together" by creating a time capsule-like memory portal where users walkthrough their captures they had at games.

  • Chosen as one of seven students who had one of the top lenses in the program, I presented my lens to the Snap AR team.

  • Gained an understanding of how to meet client needs to enhance user engagement and retention by focusing on the storytelling behind it.

Product Designer @ Visavis

Nov 2022 - Jan 2024

  • Selected as the sole Designer where I created user flows and 500+ wireframes (from low to medium to high-fidelity)

  • Worked with Google’s open-source design system (Material 3) with the Senior UI Designer to finalize the in-app design for the Beta/Pilot

  • Discovered UX flaws while testing in TestFlight to rediscover essential usability functions while connecting to the user journey.

  • Successfully launched my designs on the Apple and Google Play Store in June 2023 following positive feedback during user testing.

  • Redesigned the Website by developing mid and high-fidelity designs on Figma and Framer increasing user engagement by 25%.

  • Researched and implemented 2024 Web Design trends, including Bento Grids and Scroll Animation, in alignment with the CEO's vision.

  • Analyzed application usage and data from 100+ marketplaces, directly addressing improvements and data issues with the VP of Product.

  • Spearheaded the design and research efforts for the implementation of innovative social media strategies to attract the target audience.

  • Selected as the sole UI/UX Intern out of 10, while still working on the Social Media Marketing & Graphic Design teams

  • Identified bugs & design issues within the content monetization startup’s new mobile app

  • Developed low and high-fidelity sketches, used to map out inventive ideas for the mobile app & website

  • Worked closely with the company CTO to have my own designs implemented into the startup’s foundational app & website

AR Developer @ SpatialSense

Mar 2023 - Current

  • Collaborated with Professor Ian McDermott and three other students on groundbreaking research using AR technology to aid visually impaired individuals in art comprehension via Microsoft HoloLens (and future integration with Apple Vision Pro and Quest 3).

  • Conducted 10 user interviews with experts in HCI, AR/VR design, and the Deaf Services Division to gather valuable insights for the research study and led user research on visually impaired behavior related to haptic feedback and spatial audio/awareness.

  • Developed practical proficiency in 3D scanning, photogrammetry, audio recording, and hologram integration through hands-on exploration.

User Researcher @ xFoundry

Jan 2024 - May 2024

  • 1 of 45 students selected to join the first cohort of xFoundry: a program that combines coursework, competition, and multidisciplinary collaboration to address a real-world challenge.

  • The Competition Domain revolves around school safety, with the responsibility of designing a solution to detect and notify key personnel of an active shooter threat on a school campus.

  • Actively participating in various activities, including prototyping, brainstorming, interviewing, co-designing, debating, bonding, preparing, learning, and building with the team.
